Storm Babet Battering Roker Pier

This was taken the day after the storm's peak and although the winds had subsided there were still monster waves rolling along the pier. This caused a lot of damage and the pier is still closed pending repairs. You can see the iron railings broken at the lighthouse. A lot of the flagstones were also ripped up. The noise was thundering as the waves barrelled along the 609m long pier.
