Breaking Dawn at Bamburgh

An early start to catch the April sunrise at Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland. This was taken as the sun moved beyond the bank of low cloud, illuminating the castle and beach with a soft golden glow. The shutter release was timed to catch the motion of the waves crashing over the rocks where I was standing.
